What are people saying about Chef Nina B.?

"I was fortunate enough to work with Nina in the Dupont area in 2010 and discovered a truly beautiful soul in her; she radiates kindness and warmth, and she is one of the most positive and focused people I do believe I will ever meet.  Chef Nina B is knowledgeable about her craft and accepting of all people, body types, and creeds.  Above all else, though, Nina is unfailingly genuine.  She's such a caring and nurturing influence, and you owe it to yourself to seek her perspective and help.

Also, her vegan sushi is absolutely killer.  Killer.  I would cage fight a honey badger for her sushi.

If you're looking for someone who can truly help you examine yourself and help you make positive changes, Chef Nina B is the one to go to.  I would trust few others in this regard.  I am not vegan, or vegetarian, or even particularly spiritual, but it is clearly evident that in Nina  there is a great spirit, deep compassion, and the desire to help, and those things alone will change you for the better.  I know they have done that for me."

"What can be said about Chef Nina B?  Satisfying the palate through culinary mastery is only the beginning of what she offers.  In the Summer of 2011, I attended “Sushi Sake and Jazz.”  Held at an art gallery on the outskirts of Washington, D.C., the ambiance was indicative of what her guests would experience throughout the night.

Opening with social hour, Chef Nina B provided a great space for networking.  Unique appetizers and drinks, such as lychee sake, were great starters.  The entrees surpassed the high expectations the night had already set.  I was amazed at how Nina commanded the art of Asian cuisine.  She proved to be well versed in international taste and presentation.

Nina, charmingly, mingled with her guests and explained some of her food choices and recipes.  She then traded her chef coat and hat for evening wear appropriate for a star.  While we consumed delicious thematic desserts, such as sweet sticky rice, Chef Nina B and her band performed a full jazz set, showing her understanding of another great art form.

She performed songs by Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn, and other incomparable artists, exuding the confidence associated with the era.  Combining visual, culinary, and performing arts, Chef Nina B created an unforgettable evening.  Much like the event, Chef Nina B is undeniably eclectic and refreshingly dynamic.  Not only would I attend future events produced by Chef Nina B, I’d employ her services for events of my own."
